What People's Say About Place

Out There makes truly good coffee! When I ordered a cortado they asked if I wanted the espresso to be dark or light roast (light of course!), and I knew I could have high expectations. The light roast is a natural process wonderfully fruity coffee, the tartness really well rounded off with chocolate notes and body. I bought a bag of the beans (the Royal Reserve) with roasted on date of a couple of weeks ago, and on my home espresso machine I easily got great espresso shots, just a little long of a ratio 2.5:1 - nothing crazy (at 2:1 it was a tad sour but within reason). Oh and plenty of crema, for a light specialty coffee that’s unusual!! Any time I visit Cape May, I will make sure I stay close enough to Out There in order to be able to go there every morning!

I had their cappuccino and enjoyed it. It was good/standard. I was a little surprised their 8oz included two shots of espresso, but that's not a bad thing). Just be aware it may be stronger than a cappuccino elsewhere. With a stronger coffee to milk flavor profile. They had a nice variety of hot non-coffee drink options (eg golden milk, chai, matcha, other unique blends) and I appreciate they noted on their menu which had sweeteners and which did not. I didn't have any food, so can't comment on it's quality. They had protein balls and muffins from what I saw this morning. They seem to have a smaller food selection than other cafés in the area. I was just there for the coffee, but keep this in mind if a large food selection is important to you. Friendly and personable staff. It was about 0730 on a Sunday when I visited and it was a very short wait. As time approached 0745, a line formed. The cost is pricey by everyday standards, but on par for a beach town and similar to other cafés in the area. Their default is to serve in paper cups for hot beverages, but if you are dining in and specifically ask for a mug, they'll accommodate your request. Of note, based on the size of the mugs I saw, this may only apply to 8oz drinks. They have a nice bench inside that usually is for those waiting for their orders to be fulfilled, but since it was pretty empty during my visit, they didn't mind my reading there while drinking my coffee for 15 or so minutes. Eco-friendliness is an important factor for my patronage, so I was very pleased and appreciative that they had this option. Will definitely visit again.

Out There Coffee is a gem in Cape May! My wife and I stopped in for a quick coffee break and loved everything about it. She ordered a matcha, I had an iced latte, and we also picked up a pound of their organic house blend beans (roasted just a few days earlier). Everything was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier — everyone behind the counter was genuinely kind and helpful. As someone who’s very particular about coffee and usually makes it at home with organic beans, I was impressed not only by the quality but also by the fact that it’s organic and still so reasonably priced. They’ve got a nice variety of drinks, and while I’d love to see the snack and pastry selection grow, the coffee itself is clearly the star here — and they really deliver. Highly recommend if you’re in Cape May!

This place definitely deserves 5 stars for a few reasons: • Iced London fog tea and iced mocha were excellent • they have a great sense of humor as you can see on the pictures, the place looks nice, and the staff is friendly • on a very personal note: we forgot and almost lost our gifts bags at the store and they found it and saved it for us. Not just that, but they answered our instagram message in a short time. Finding our belongings made my day, and it was worth driving back for 2.5h to Cape May on a 2nd day in a row. Quite a good excuse to return! : ) Highly recommended!

Stopped by to get coffe with the crew on a Saturday morning, place was busy but we got our drinks fast. They have some good food options too, although I didn't try them. Will be stopping by next time I'm in town for sure

My favorite place to get Chai! The best in Cape May. And the workers there are phenomenal. Always present with a smile and a happy ‘hello’!

Carried out some coffee and snacks. Lots of options available. Also has a cute corner with merch. Quick and easy. Would come back for sure.

The best! Great service and coffee. The “Healthy Cacao” with espresso might be an all-time favorite drink
